The Bag is Packed

Hola! Muchachas y Muchachos.

So it begins again.  The bag is packed, the rudiments of six weeks of travel rolled into the faithful 40 litre Deuter backpack.  Vaccinations are up-to-date and the anti-malarial stuff is packed.  One of these days I am going to go native and jettison that crap, but not yet.

While my sights naturally turn to the West and all points Asian, this journey is to the South.  I am starting with some time in Tucson hanging with the Genetic Envelope and from there thence to Panama, Colombia and Ecuador.

The trip will culminate in Cuenca, Ecuador, at the Hasen Safehouse, secret lair of ex-pat wannabees.

This is the test post, the teaser, the "do-you-really-want-to-waste-your-time-with-this" post.  Follow along if you like, or not.  I ask your indulgence for my presumption that anyone would have the slightest interest in my scribblings and I apologize in advance for the offense they may give.

D-day is Friday, 10:48 AM.
